Opportunity Our Major Projects group provides project management, project controls, construction management and supply chain services to major projects in the mining, energy, industrial and power markets across Canada. The team ensures consistent project delivery for all clients regardless of project location or market. Job Description As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for purchasing functions on assigned client-based projects. You may also lead on selected major projects and serve as a lead buyer. Strong understanding of procurement procedures/workflows and application to client‑specific/project requirements. Manage tasks ranging from: Project bidders list development. Bid package preparation. Issue RFPs. Bid opening and evaluation. Negotiation and clarifications. Issuing POs or Purchase Requisitions. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Responsible Engineers, and team leads to coordinate purchasing needs. Work directly with expeditors, SQS Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator; communicate delays and schedule conflicts with Project Team. Maintain relationships with client procurement representatives and vendors to ensure all procurement activities are addressed. Proactively manage the PO change management process and closeout once contractual requirements are met. Manage deadlines, provide communication on schedule conflicts, and administer electronic distribution of specified reports. Support large, complex packages including fabricated equipment and modules. Serve as Lead Buyer on major projects and mentor junior/intermediate buyers. Plan resources for projects, track budgets, manage change, and prepare labor hour estimates. What You’ll Bring Degree, diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management or related field. 8‑12 years of experience in Energy, Power, and Industrial projects. Experience in an EPCM environment is an asset. Highly proficient in MS Office and supply‑chain management software. Bilingual in English and French a preference.
