Sessional Lecturer, Risk Assessment & Regulatory Toxicology, TOX 321(02)The Toxicology Centre invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach the following course during the 2025-2026 Regular Winter session.Course DetailsCourse Number, Section, and Name: TOX 321.3 (02), Regulatory Toxicology and Risk AssessmentTerm and Course Dates: Winter Session (Casual Hours up to 80 hours total from January 1 to March 31, 2025)CRN: 20250Delivery Mode: This course will be delivered as a lecture in personCourse Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11:30 am – 12:20 pmExpected Enrollment Limit: 30Qualifications: Minimum of a M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Toxicology/Biological Sciences and teaching experience.Course DescriptionAn introduction to basic concepts of human health and ecological risk assessment, and an overview of Canadian and international regulatory requirements for the registration of new products, focussing on safety assessment of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Environmental regulations for natural resource industries, and general principles of occupational health and industrial hygiene will also be covered.
