Sports Facility Manager – Runrec Location: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada • Salary: CA$90,000.00-CA$100,000.00 Overview Managing operations of a sports facility, ensuring smooth service delivery, staff training, and maintenance. Requirements Languages: English. Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required. Experience: 5+ years in facility or related environments. Work Setting: On-site at a recreational facility/institution, sports. Responsibilities Identify customers' needs Recommend products or services to customers Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of goods or services Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or services Conduct sales transactions via Internet-based electronic commerce Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff Plan and manage the facility's operations budget Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment Troubleshoot equipment problems Organize and maintain inventory Qualifications & Skills Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word, presentation software, business management software, electronic scheduler, Mac OS, monitoring and tracking software, reservation software, spreadsheet, internet, Adobe Suite. Personal suitability: client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, team player, dependable, flexible, initiative, judgement, positive attitude, punctuality. Work conditions: fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, hand‑eye coordination, repetitive tasks, ability to distinguish colors, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
