We combine our digital, engineering, data analytics and advisory expertise to deliver sustainable and predictive asset management solutions for asset-intensive organisations, enabling operational, tactical and strategic asset management decision making in a continually changing environment that improve Facilities Operations and Maintenance performance.We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Operations and Maintenance Advisor to join our O&M Advisory team and help achieve this vision. You will advise and support facility owners and operators to optimize and extend the life of their facilities, through the application of ISO 55000 and ISO 31000 methodologies and best practices, coupled with your practical skills, knowledge and experience gained through managing and operating complex facilities and supporting assets. Located in Canada and primarily focused on Canadian clients, you will leverage your skills in Operations and Maintenance, knowledge of EAM and other Information Management systems, and experience in leading people and managing complex operations to advise and support clients to achieve improved performance and productivity, improve asset reliability and lower operational and capital costs with measurable results. You will also work across the Arcadis business spectrum to support the wider asset management consulting and advisory business through our global business areas, Mobility, Resilience and Places. You will be a key member of our Advisory team, reporting to one of our Senior Asset Management Leaders, and play a key role in developing new business opportunities and delivering successful projects to our clients. O&M Advisory is a newly established team in Canada, pulling together our existing capability in asset management into a unified offering with opportunities to work across a diverse set of asset classes and potential growth and career development. There will be opportunities for individuals with a growth mindset, and as the team develops you may manage and direct more junior staff, acting as a technical subject matter expert in Industrial Manufacturing Operations and Maintenance.Role AccountabilitiesApplying Facilities Operations & Maintenance Management skills, knowledge and insight to oversee the delivery of Facilities Management related projects on time, meeting both quality and budgetary targets, while building high-trust relationships by routinely meeting or exceeding client expectations.Applying Asset Management and Risk-Based decision-making best practices and standards.Applying Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) concepts, processes and best practices to improve asset reliability, availability and maintainability.Meeting with and presenting to clients innovative solutions and concepts to help them choose Arcadis as a preferred service provider and trusted advisor.Functioning as a valued team member in a respectful and collaborative organization and team with integrity and regard for others’ perspectives.Qualifications & Experience10-15 years’ experience and a sound understanding of Facilities Management, Operations and Maintenance ideally associated with multiple and varied applications (Transportation, Municipal and Industrial sectors), helping resolve strategic, tactical and/or operational challenges. Examples include life cycle plans, asset risk and condition assessments, operations and maintenance planning, decision support tools and asset data quality assessments.Experience having worked as a client or in a leadership and/or advisory capacity.Good understanding and familiarity with industry standards and best practice such as ISO 55000 principles, GFMAM methodology.Tender management and bid experience.Good understanding of risk management (e.g. FMECA, Bow Tie, Fishbone).Sound understanding of Canadian Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and practices.Sound understanding and practical experience in CMMS, EAM and other related systems.Working towards Chartered status or membership of Professional Institutions (e.g., IAM, PEMAC, SMRP).Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
