We pride ourselves on a diverse and inclusive culture.The Financial Reporting & Automation Advisor plays a critical role in driving reporting process optimization, automation, and financial analytics within the Financial Reporting, Accounting and Treasury Group. This role will lead the development and enhancement of financial models, dashboards, MD&A tables, Notes to Financial Statements, and other reporting tools that support internal and external stakeholders. The role is key to transforming manual reporting processes into streamlined, automated solutions—supporting scalability, accuracy, and faster decision‑making.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance financial models, including reporting templates, dashboards and financial statements (MD&A, Financial Statements and Notes) and other regulatory or internal reports.Drive automation of reporting processes by utilizing tools such as Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot), Power BI, Yardi, or other systems, significantly reducing manual effort.Collaborate with key departments (Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, IT, and Operations) to design and implement reporting solutions aligned with business objectives and accounting requirements.Lead special projects focused on improving reporting frameworks, financial data analysis, and process transformation initiatives.Ensure data integrity, overseeing accurate mapping, reconciliation, and validation between source systems and reporting outputs.Develop and maintain key financial metrics and financial performance reports, delivering actionable insights that support leadership decision‑making.Support the financial close process by preparing timely and accurate reporting packages, including variance analysis and other necessary documentation.Coordinate and support the annual external audit process, preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.Document processes, workflows, and system solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing, continuity and process optimization.Upskill the broader team by sharing expertise on reporting tools, automation and analytical best practices.Qualifications3–5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial data analysis.Experience with Yardi Voyager is highly desirable.Advanced proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to manage large datasets, perform complex analysis and automate processes.Prior experience in external financial reporting, including MD&A and financial statements.Proven track record in automating reporting processes and developing financial models.Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.BenefitsEmployee‑centric culture with paid time off for employer‑supported volunteerism, maternity leave top‑up, a generous awards and recognition program, discounted monthly rent in Avenue Living properties, and employee savings program through industry partnerships.Commitment to a strong, safe work environment.Competitive compensation package composed of a group benefits plan, GRSP matching and a discretionary bonus program; plus an Employee Referral Program that rewards active employees for successful referrals.Great opportunities for personal and professional growth, with a supportive environment that encourages innovation and ownership.We value diversity and inclusion and are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace.
