Job Description Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to support strategic decision-making. Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors as required. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard assets. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering professional growth and high performance. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes. Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports and recommendations for management. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation. Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and financial planning. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring ongoing compliance. Job Requirements Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity preferred in travel companies or in the tourism filled at least. Proven experience in managing accounting operations, including budgeting, reporting, and audit processes. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
