Responsibilities Lead the full governance cycle for 35+ Board members, including agenda preparation, minutes, and post‑meeting follow‑up. Partner with Board and Committee Chairs to ensure effective decision‑making and seamless meetings, both in person and online. Oversee preparation and quality of governance materials, guiding senior leaders on process and content. Manage onboarding and orientation for new Board members and Chairs and build strong, trusted relationships as the primary contact for Board inquiries. Coordinate high‑profile Board events, retreats, events, and communications in collaboration with Foundation colleagues and Hospital partners. Act as Corporate Secretary for SickKids Foundation, managing all meetings, resolutions, policies, and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions (Canada, U.S., U.K., Caribbean). Support the Imagine Canada reaccreditation process and advance governance excellence through continuous improvements based on external best practice and stakeholder feedback. Provide executive‑level support to the Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer, as well as VP, General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer, ensuring seamless coordination of governance operational and strategic priorities. Qualifications Significant experience in corporate governance, Board/Committee management, drafting board memos and resolutions, minute‑taking, and compliance. Excellent judgment and outstanding written and oral communication skills, with confidence working with senior leaders and high‑profile Board members. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex processes, and sensitive information with discretion and accuracy. Strong attention to detail and records‑management expertise, with a process‑oriented approach to problem solving. Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple evolving priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster trust and collaboration across senior leadership, Board members, and external partners. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, governance platforms (e.g., Diligent), and best practices in information and records management. Initiative, foresight, and proactive problem solving to anticipate Board and Committee needs. Demonstrated ability to manage projects, collaborate effectively across teams, and influence colleagues to achieve results. Total Compensation Package Hiring Salary Range: $82,064.00–$102,582.00, with the ability to progress to a maximum of $117,971.00. Salary placement will be based on years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Board Relations & Legal Services.
