Rockstar is on the lookout for an Associate Animator who is skilled at motion capture animation. This is a full‑time, in‑office position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Oakville, ON. WHAT WE DO The Motion Capture Animation team collaborates with our global teams to produce character animations. We work with bleeding‑edge technology to capture actors’ movement, facial, and audio data to create photorealistic content. We are responsible for bringing actors’ performances to life through precise data tracking and character solving. RESPONSIBILITIES Process motioncapture data through proprietary pipelines. Retarget motion capture data to game assets. Work collaboratively with the global team to achieve goals, uphold animation quality, and share knowledge. REQUIREMENTS 2 years of experience with character animation or motion capture. 2 years of experience with Motion Builder. A demo reel showcasing your animation work. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Self‑motivated, interested in games and curious about how things work. Adaptable and flexible, able to quickly adjust to changing priorities and new challenges. PLUSES Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
