Position Summary Join the collaborative team at Kootenay Lake Hospital (KLH) Emergency Department in beautiful Nelson, BC. Supportive, collegial group of Emergency Physicians, including those balancing EM with other clinical roles. Flexible Scheduling and FTE options (5–12 shifts per month) to support work-life balance and individual practice preferences. Work the way you want; additional community roles available to complement your ED work. Busy rural Emergency Department seeing 40–60 patients per day. Open to CCFP-EM or CCFP physicians with a strong interest in Emergency Medicine. Hospital Resources On-site CT 24/7 GP-Anesthesia coverage Weekday Internal Medicine On-call Obstetrics & Gynecology In-house Pediatrics Role Features Mostly single-provider coverage, with overlap during peak times. Welcoming environment for both experienced physicians and those building EM skills. Opportunities for teaching and mentorship with residents and medical students regularly on site. Located in beautiful Nelson, BC – vibrant arts scene, rich culture, and unmatched access to outdoor recreation.
