Resolution Specialist, Collections Reporting To: Manager, Collections Employment Type: Full-time Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Location: Toronto Posting Date: November 21, 2025 Closing Date: December 5, 2025 What We Offer: Highly competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, benefits, and career advancement opportunities. The Opportunity: The Resolution Specialist reports to the Manager, Collections and ensures all arrears are dealt with on a timely basis in accordance with company policy. How You Will Contribute: Investigate delinquent accounts in an assigned portfolio. Collect or administer portfolio. Minimize exposure to monetary losses or damage to investors and corporate image. Assist clients in budgeting and planning to correct existing and prevent future delinquency. Assess and collect fees. Review bankruptcy and consumer proposals and file proof of claim when required. Collect common expenses, strata liens, tax and utility arrears. Set up arrears settlement payments. Process new PAC information. Provide credit ratings and mortgage verifications. Collect deficiency balances on discharged mortgages. Adhere to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met, when applicable. The Experience You Need: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Team player who also works well independently. Able to meet deadlines. Competency in MS Office; capacity to learn new technologies/systems. Shift work will be required. Working Environment & Physical Demands: Office environment. Periods of high volume with tight timelines. Long periods of stationary position/sitting. Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (keyboard and mouse use). Long periods of time viewing a computer screen. Multi‑tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer program. Why Join First National?
