Opportunity Calgary Zone's Environmental Public Health Team is seeking an energetic and effective leader to supervise a team of Public Health Inspectors and coordinate operational programs within Alberta's Public Health Act regulations. The successful manager will contribute to zone operational planning, delivery, and evaluation, identify training needs, monitor compliance, allocate resources, and report program effectiveness. The role requires full‑time hours, Monday to Friday, with a weekly on‑call rotation every five weeks and occasional travel within the Calgary Zone. Responsibilities Supervise a team of Public Health Inspectors. Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Environmental Public Health programs. Identify staff training and development needs. Monitor and ensure compliance with AHS policies. Allocate resources to meet operational needs. Assess and report on program effectiveness using quantifiable outcomes. Collaborate with other operational managers and contribute to workforce priority planning. Work onsite from the Southport location and support operations across the Calgary Zone. Required Qualifications Post‑secondary or graduate degree in management or a related public health field. Graduate degree preferred or a commitment to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe. Member in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors. Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada). Preferred Qualifications Experience as a leader within Environmental Public Health.
