The role includes delivering high-quality products that scale to millions of users, applying new industry trends, and challenging your peers to deliver results. The successful candidate will be working alongside other engineers and developers, along with the project manager and product owner, to facilitate the development and delivery of products.We are seeking a person who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and possesses excellent communication skills. Qualified candidates will be results-oriented, self-driven, and able to successfully prioritize and execute several tasks at any given time. Responsibilities:Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient codeDesigning robust, scalable, and secure featuresContributing to all phases of the development lifecycleCreating back-end componentsConnecting applications with additional web serversMaintaining APIsIdentifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugsFollowing best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards)Driving continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into the designSkills & Requirements:10+ years of application development experienceHands-on programming experience with Ruby on RailsDemonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JQueryExperience with Relational or Non-relational databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQLDevelopment experience in defining, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIExperience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of next-generation web applicationsProven track record for timely project deliveryProficient understanding of source code control, build process management, continuous integration, automated testing, and other development processProficient understanding of OWASP security principlesGood exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deploymentAbility to multitask, work independently as well as part of a team, and demonstrate keen attention to detailsGood communication and presentation skillsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
