OverviewLocation: St John's/Newfoundland And LabradorEmployment type: Full-TimeJob DescriptionReq#: R-409391 Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 08/06/2025About this opportunityReporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance, the Asset Integrity & Verification Manager is accountable for the SeaRose and West White Rose Integrity Management System. This system mitigates the occurrence of a major accident event by ensuring Safety Critical Elements remain Fit for Purpose, meeting defined performance goals.What you’ll doManage applicable integrity programs and related documentation, including Work Order Deferral ProcessLead integrity programs for SeaRose and West White Rose, ensuring documentation is current and aligned with regulatory and verification requirementsMonitor Safety Critical Elements against performance standards, providing Fit for Purpose reports and flagging deviations, deferrals, and backlog to assess asset riskLiaise with regulators, Certifying Authorities (and Flag State) to ensure ongoing compliance and certification requirements are metConduct and ensure effectiveness of annual reviews for pressure systems, structures, EX equipment, PSVs, and fabric maintenanceIdentify and implement new techniques and technologies to improve safety-critical maintenance and inspection programsMaintain accurate Safety Critical Element status reports, manage SAP notifications and work orders according to risk prioritizationWho you areOur ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:Legally authorized to work in CanadaBachelor's degree in EngineeringA member in good standing or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientist Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)Minimum 12 years experience within an asset management program with strong understanding of Major Accident Hazards, Safety Critical Elements and Performance StandardsStrong knowledge of Regulatory and Certifying Authority regulations and codes; working knowledge of SAP PM functionality; Training as defined by the CAPP Standard Practice for Training and Qualifications of Personnel, Transport Canada, other regulatory requirements, and company required trainingWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a medical and driver’s abstract review.Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT August 5th, 2025.Internal candidates that are currently in a lower grade will be assessed based on their sustained job performance, how they demonstrate the expected organizational competency behaviors and values and in discussions with their current leader prior to resolving next steps.Cenovus was ranked one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2025.
