Role:

The IT Quality Analyst Lead plays a critical role in our IT department, leading a team of quality analysts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish quality standards, develop testing strategies, and execute test plans to validate software functionality and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in software quality assurance, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of IT quality analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective software testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define quality requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing objectives for software projects.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Lead and execute various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, identifying defects, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance across projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on testing progress, metrics, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, HP UFT, JMeter) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments, with knowledge of relevant tools and techniques.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ) are a plus.
