We are currently in search of a Senior Property Underwriter to join our expanding team in Canada. This role, reporting directly to the Head of Property, requires a candidate with robust analytical skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and effective negotiation and communication capabilities. Prior experience in property underwriting is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business to ensure profitability within established underwriting guidelines.
Deliver exceptional service to brokers and clients throughout the underwriting process.
Cultivate and sustain broker relationships to support business goals.
Tailor client-focused solutions to meet individual needs.
Manage timely processing of new and renewal business.
Maintain accurate file organization and policy documentation.
Conduct presentations for brokers and clients to facilitate business transactions.
Enhance brand visibility by participating in industry events and conferences.

Your Qualifications:

Demonstrates entrepreneurial drive and self-motivation.
Possesses at least 5 years of underwriting experience in property risks, with a willingness to expand knowledge.
Exhibits a strong grasp of property wordings and underwriting techniques.
Proficient in time management and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Completion or pursuit of insurance courses is advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word & Outlook) is required.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of French and/or German is beneficial.
Occasional travel to key markets may be necessary.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment while working independently.
