Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Performance Director to lead and mentor a growing team of Performance Specialists. As a Performance Media Director, you will own the media strategies and campaigns across paid Search and Social for a portfolio of clients, ensuring effective planning, buying, and measurement across various digital platforms. Your expertise in data-driven decision-making, campaign optimization, and media performance analysis will strengthen our agency’s capabilities and drive our clients' success.

With a strong and demonstrable understanding of the paid social and search media landscapes, you can develop effective performance media strategies, and have experience managing a team of Campaign Managers and Performance Specialists.

Working in tandem with the Planning, Strategy and Measurement teams at Havas, you can identify client objectives and translate them into high performing media campaigns. The Performance Director must excel in client acumen, possess exceptional communication skills and bring a leadership mentality that provides junior team members with mentorship and guidance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of performance media specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and oversee comprehensive performance media strategies aligned with clients' goals, target audience, and budget requirements.
  • Campaign Planning: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define campaign objectives, KPIs and target metrics, ensuring strategic alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Media Buying: Oversee media buying activities across Paid Search and Social, including core and emerging platforms.
  • Performance Optimization: Instill best practice and process within your team for continuous campaign performance monitoring and analysis, leveraging data insights to optimize media spend, targeting, messaging and creative elements.
  • Budget Management: Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and tracking of media spend.
  • Client Relationships: Be the senior level contact and expert for your portfolio of clients, ensuring direct communication and/or internal support for Client Experience is considered best in class.
  • Partner Relationships: Build increasingly stronger relationships with core and emerging partners, and contribute to overall agency partner agendas
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies/platforms, and best practice in performance media, and proactively share formal insights/POVs with internal teams and clients.
  • New Business: Lead/Support agency growth in new business, including in-the-room presenting as well as background support for content, etc.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience in performance media planning and buying, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Deep understanding of advertising platforms across paid Search and Social ( Google Ads, Meta , Bing, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest).Direct experience managing eCommerce focused clients.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive campaign optimization and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and mentoring a team of performance media specialists.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging new media opportunities.
