Position Summary The Practice Lead – Engagement and Health Equity provides leadership in embedding culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, and equity-focused approaches across all clinical services. This role supports system-wide practice transformation by strengthening staff capacity, fostering authentic client, participant, and community partnerships, and addressing inequities in access, experience, and outcomes of care. Reporting to Reporting to the Advance Practice Lead for Psychology & Interprofessional Education with matrix reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Practice Lead will carry the following responsibilities: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical & Practice Leadership Lead the integration of equity-informed frameworks and client/family engagement strategies into clinical practice. Collaborate with Clinical Managers and other Practice Leads to co-develop and refine care pathways that respond to the diverse needs of children, youth, and families. Provide consultation on complex clinical issues involving systemic barriers, equity, and inclusion. Capacity Building & Coaching Design and facilitate training on anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices. Support individual and team development through coaching, reflective practice, and case-based learning. Lead and sustain communities of practice focused on equity and engagement. Client, Family & Community Engagement Develop and implement sustainable strategies for youth, caregiver, and community engagement in service planning, delivery, and evaluation. Strengthen partnerships with equity-deserving communities and culturally specific organizations. Co-lead initiatives to amplify client and community voice, including through advisory groups, feedback loops, and co-design processes. Quality, Data & Accountability Collaborate with Quality and Research teams to collect and use disaggregated data to identify and address disparities. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives related to access, experience, and outcomes. Contribute to evaluation frameworks and implementation of engagement and equity indicators. Organizational Leadership & Strategy Supports education, training and communication related to sector wide Anti Black Racism, Anti Oppression and Health Equity strategies as these pertain to client and participant care. May represent organization at relevant community and sector tables as appropriate. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Education or a related clinical/social service field. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in clinical and/or community-based mental health work with children, youth, and families. Demonstrated leadership in advancing equity, inclusion, or anti-oppressive practice within a health or social services setting. In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed care, culturally responsive service delivery, and the systems of oppression that impact mental health. Experience designing and delivering training and facilitating reflective practice. Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills. Experience in client and community engagement, including co-design and participatory approaches. Familiarity with quality improvement and/or implementation science. Assets Lived experience related to equity-deserving groups (e.g., racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomer, Indigenous, disability communities). Experience working in child and youth mental health or youth-serving organizations in Ontario. Familiarity with Ontario’s child and youth mental health system. Fluency in more than one language.
