The organization also delivers some province‑wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Director of Security Services, the incumbent is responsible for the development and implementation of all training programs required by the Security Department. The incumbent’s position is to ensure all staff have been properly trained, and their personal development continues to grow and increase as members of the Security Department. Responsibilities Coordinates all departmental investigations, including conducting serious and sensitive investigations, personally. This includes internal investigations. Provides input into the evaluation of staff and the department’s QA program. Participates in the interviewing and hiring of new staff. Responsible for the Security Computerized Incident Reporting System. Experience Five years previous experience in Police/Security field, at the supervisory level. Completion of Security related courses required. Prior experience in the development and communication of training programs required. Education Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required. Bachelor degree in Administration, Criminology or other relevant discipline preferred. Certification / Licensure / Registration Must be eligible for "Special Constable" appointment through the Provincial Attorney General's Department. Qualifications and Skills Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values. Demonstrated investigation skills required. Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision. Must have a working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office applications, analog/digital/IP camera operations and Perspective 2000 data collection program functions. Physical Requirements Not Applicable This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
