Investment Banking Analyst, Technology Work Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line Of Business: TD Securities Pay Details: $100,000 - $110,000 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. Department Overview Our Investment Banking team is one of the leading franchises in Canada, with over 350 professionals globally. We provide our corporate, institutional and government clients with capital markets and financial advisory services and integrated solutions. We're on the lookout for talented individuals to join our Canadian team as Investment Banking Analysts. We are building teams across Canada with opportunities in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. Your Career as an Investment Banking Analyst You will work under the direction of a senior officer and with other experienced professionals, helping to generate ideas, clients and execute transactions. Responsibilities Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities. Develop valuation models of individual private and public companies as well as merged entities. Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities. Value private and public companies. Assist with client negotiations and documentation. Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos. Prepare client presentations based upon the above. Qualifications Undergraduate degree with a demonstrated interest in finance Strong financial and analytical skills Excellent communication abilities Adept at financial modeling and valuation Ability to work effectively in a team environment Nice‑to‑Have Prior investment banking analyst experience Technology industry experience an advantage CA and/or CFA designation considered a strong asset Additional Information We’re delighted that you’re considering building a career with TD.
