Document Control Specialist - French and English Base pay range CA$45.91/hr - CA$45.91/hr Summary – The Specialist – Document Management reports to a Lead Specialist - Document Management. He/she is responsible to implement Document Management following internal process on a project level. He/she manages project documentation deliverables by using document control process and management system. He/she owns and maintains the project’s Master Document List.

The Specialist – Document Management is accountable for his/her own work related to the quality management of documents on the project and for supporting the team in making schedule deadlines. Roles And Responsibilities – Use established procedures to define or to resolve issues related Document Management process definition and deployment on a project. Prepare the Project Document Control Procedure related to the Document Management on the project. Follow-up the project documentation deliverables.

Ensure consistency and high quality within the project documentation. Conduct Documentation Management System training to new users. Provide functional assistance and support users with document control software. Create and maintain all necessary document lists for the project.

Manage all project document transactions for the company ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded on the Document Management System. Client/partner interface – Support PED to liaise with customers and partners to follow-up the project documentation deliverables. Submit documents to customer. Track customer comments and answers, along with document resubmission.

Manage customer return status of project documentation within the Document Management System. Prepare transmittal with defined deliverables list & submission dates. Record all necessary document receipts. Required Qualifications – Advanced English language proficiency – speaking & writing.

Min. 2 years of experience in technical document control or engineering. Ability and willingness to travel 15******** of the time, including international, and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies. Desired Characteristics – A bachelor’s degree in Documentation or in Engineering, or equivalent experience. Advanced technical French language proficiency, strongly desired.

Experience

of direct contact with customers and subcontractors’ representatives. Good understanding of engineering processes and document control systems. General knowledge of engineering technical terms. Knowledge of substation design a bonus.

Working knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Office package (Excel, Outlook, Word). Adobe Acrobat Professional or Bluebeam (PDF). Knowledge of Documentation Management System tool is a plus. Qualities – Detail orientated with a disciplined approach, structured.

Structured, and organized. Strong Communication skills within project team members and management. Ability to work in a team with project deadline pressure. Analytical and organizational skills.
