This role involves delivering transformational projects that will benefit future generations.ResponsibilitiesOversee small and large projects of high complexity, perform technical design tasks, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.Provide technical leadership for civil related projects and may serve as Engineer-of-Record on several projects.Perform Project Management and/or Project Technical Lead duties on projects with managing project teams and financial performance of project budgets.Perform client account management and development duties to grow the business. Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for all sizes of projects. Support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, assist/writing proposals, participate in client interviews and support negotiations for project contracts in British Columbia.Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.Capabilities and CredentialsEfficient project management and project technical lead duties on multiple concurrent projects.Understand client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables.Technical expert in relevant design areas and understanding of design and construction methods, codes and standards.Strong knowledge of civil systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards. Thorough understanding of Metro Vancouver design standards is preferred.Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of the project, ensuring accuracy, quality and completeness.Strong communication, presentation and interview skills.Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.General understanding of software and relevant discipline software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, PCSWMM, StormCAD, WaterCAD, REVIT, others) is a plus, but not required.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia (or able to obtain EGBC registration).Minimum of 12 years of experience.Office Environment and Work RequirementsTypical office environment working with computers and at a desk for long periods. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. In office a minimum of 2 days per week.Compensation and BenefitsPay ranges vary by location. Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC: Min Salary $101,500.00 - Max Salary $152,300.00. Locations in Lower Mainland - BC: Min Salary $107,600.00 - Max Salary $161,400.00. Pay transparency: final compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Some roles may be bonus eligible.
