Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing M&A projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the specified requirements. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, communicating with stakeholders, and overseeing project resources to achieve project objectives. Position Title: M&A Project Manager Position Reports To: PM Snr Manager, Planning and Project Services Compensation: $115k-$143k Health Insurance (includes Virtual Health, and HCSA) Vision Insurance Life Insurance Long-term Disability Short-term Disability RRSP Match Paid Vacation Floating DaysEmployee Assistance Program Employee Engagement Events Awards and Recognition Service Awards Key Responsibilities Project Planning Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and allocate resources accordingly Identify and manage project risks proactively Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams throughout the project lifecycle Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure team alignment and performance Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation Stakeholder Management Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align project goals with organizational priorities Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver regular updates on project progress Resource Management Allocate personnel, budget, and materials efficiently to support project execution Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed to optimize performance Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies Address issues that may affect project scope, schedule, or budget Implement contingency plans to minimize project disruption Quality Assurance Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and specifications Conduct regular quality reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary Budget Management Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and variances Ensure delivery within budget constraints and provide justification for any deviations Communication Facilitate clear, timely communication among team members and stakeholders Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and documentation Change Management Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources Assess impact on objectives and stakeholders, and implement change control processes Closure and Evaluation Lead project closure activities, including formal acceptance and handover to operations Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned and best practices Qualifications and Skills Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering) required; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred Proven experience as a Project Manager, managing complex projects from initiation to completion Previous experience in managing all technology related components in a merger and acquisition Experience can vary from small (50 People) We are looking for someone to oversee and managed the end to end process of multiple M&A’s The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams within IT ensuring the smooth execution of the M&A or Divestiture Previous experience in leading the Due Diligence process of an M&A is highly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders Broad cross-industry experience and domain expertise – industrial manufacturing sector, intercompany, third-party distribution and branch retail operations experience an asset Solid understanding of enterprise applications including ERP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution & Retail, Warehouse Management, CRM, Enterprise Content Management, Financial/Corporate Performance Management, BI & Analytics, EDI and E-commerce Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, PPM Pro) Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and presentations skills. Excellent problem solving skills Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g. ISO) Limited travel (National & International) may be required for this role We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools on a limited basis to assist in initial assessment, identification, and review of candidates.
