Our client, a rapidly growing, founder‑led technology and staffing company, is expanding and looking for a hands‑on Controller to build the financial foundation and lead accounting, financial operations, and reporting alongside the leadership team. Job Details Job Title: Controller Location: Toronto (in‑office) Industry: Technology & Staffing / Recruiting Salary: $100,000+ Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end close. Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial modeling to support growth and strategic decisions. Prepare financial statements and KPIs for leadership, partnering across teams to optimize processes. Ensure compliance, coordinate audits, and maintain strong internal controls and risk management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA is a strong asset). 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role in an entrepreneurial environment. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting processes. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
