About the Role We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow Basestation into the leading software provider for the waste & recycling industry. As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers and play a critical role in building our sales pipeline. You’ll engage with leads, understand their business needs, and help them explore how our software can create value for their organization. This is an ideal role for someone who is energetic, curious, and passionate about helping businesses solve problems through technology. Primary Responsibilities Prospecting & Lead Generation – identify and research potential customers within target market and conduct outbound outreach. Discovery & Qualification – engage prospects in thoughtful discovery conversations to understand their challenges, workflows, and goals. Clearly articulate the value and benefits of our software solution. Scheduling Product Demos – your primary KPI is to schedule qualified product demos and introductory meetings for our Account Executives. Collaboration & Pipeline Development – maintain accurate lead and activity records in our CRM, work closely with Account Executives to optimize lead handoffs and messaging, and provide feedback on lead quality, customer insights, and messaging effectiveness. About You 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (preferably in SaaS). Strong communication skills – clear, concise, and confident. Ability to handle high outbound volume and manage time effectively. Curiosity and eagerness to learn about technology, customer problems, and the waste industry. Experience using CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot). Prior experience in a startup or rapidly growing technology company.
