Responsibilities Reconcile data from 3rd party applications such as HubDoc, Wagepoint, etc. Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements in QuickBooks Online and Xero Reconcile and review sales data Review accounts receivable/accounts payable and process using 3rd party applications Review payroll time entries and process payroll Run GST/HST/PST reports, review audit trail and file reports with CRA Prepare T4 returns Set up client files, assist with the completion of budgets and complete administrative planning and other aspects of cloud accounting work Perform/assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes Perform basic financial analysis Prepare basic analytical reports and cash flow statements Participate in client discovery calls Collaborate with clients on a regular basis Train and mentor junior colleagues Qualifications A passion for technology and innovative thinking Associate's degree in business/accounting or equivalent 2+ years’ experience in a similar role QuickBooks ProAdvisor and/or Xero certification required Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to create macros and/or VB scripts in Microsoft Excel preferred Benefits Profit sharing, Flex days, RRSP contributions, Firmwide holiday closure, Wellness benefits, Concierge-like benefits, Work from anywhere in Canada in the summer for 4 weeks, and more Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Doane Grant Thornton LLP by 2x.
