As a Senior Accountant, Cloud Accounting Services your responsibilities will include:

  • Reconcile data from 3rd party applications such as HubDoc, Wagepoint, etc.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements in Quickbooks Online and Xero
  • Reconcile and review sales data
  • Review accounts receivable/accounts payable and process using 3rd party applications
  • Review payroll time entries and process payroll
  • Run GST/HST/PST reports, review audit trail and file reports with CRA
  • Prepare T4 returns
  • Set up client files, assist with the completion of budgets and complete administrative planning and other aspects of cloud accounting work
  • Perform/assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform basic financial analysis
  • Prepare basic analytical reports and cash flow statements
  • Participate in client discovery calls
  • Collaborate with clients on a regular basis
  • Train and mentor junior colleagues

Think you've got what it takes to be a Senior Accountant, Cloud Accounting Services? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

  • A passion for technology and innovative thinking
  • Associates degree in business/accounting or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor and/or Xero certification required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to create macros and/or VB scripts in Microsoft Excel preferred
