About The Opportunity Our client, a national law firm, seeks a registered Patent Agent with expertise in electrical engineering. Duties Drafting patents in the electrical field Patent prosecution Business development Possible litigation support when required About You Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or software engineering Registered Canadian Patent Agent Minimum of 3 years experience as a Patent Agent Previous experience in a law firm, IP boutique, or in-house setting Excellent drafting skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills US Patent Agent qualification would be an asset Bilingualism is an asset but not required About the Job This role offers an opportunity to join an established Patent Agency unit within a thriving national law firm. An existing book of business is an asset, but not required. A group of two or more Agents may also be considered. Salary ranges between $150,000 and $200,000, depending on experience.
