As a Director, Risk Services Commercial Solutions, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic direction of Risk Services from regional and national perspectives. You will manage the provision of advisory, consulting, training, and education services in the Western Region and oversee the operational functions of the department and staff.The objective is to enhance Northbridge’s Commercial Solutions Risk Services’ capabilities in risk underwriting, customer safety solutions, and positioning Northbridge as an industry leader in customer experience and safety.You will provide recommendations to National Risk Services, ensure departmental efficiency, and lead, coach, and mentor your team daily.We want your talentIf you excel at:Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across diverse portfoliosProviding leadership, coaching, and motivation to staffMaintaining professional relationships with brokers and customersApplying advanced risk management techniquesAnd you have:Post-secondary education in Insurance Management or related fieldProgress towards or completion of CDS, CIP, or CRM designations15 years of experience in Property and Casualty Insurance or related fieldExperience with Property, Casualty, and/or Commercial AutoPrevious leadership experienceValid driver’s license with a clean recordWe prioritize your well-being and growth:Hybrid work model (office and home 50/50)Company vehicle and expense coverage for travelCompetitive salary, employee share purchase plan, pension, RRSP, staff insurance discountsFlexible health benefits, wellness programs, rewards, and recognitionEducational support for CIP, FCIP, CRM, and other coursesInternal mobility, leadership training, and mentoringCommunity support through donation matching and volunteer daysThe salary range in Vancouver is $125,000-$150,000, negotiable based on experience.Who we are:Northbridge Financial is a proud Canadian company owned by Fairfax Financial, serving through Northbridge Insurance, Federated Insurance, and TruShield Insurance.
