Join us.YOUR IMPACTReporting to the Director, Credit, the Senior Credit Risk Analyst brings extensive experience in global business credit risk to assist our AR function in delivering credit risk performance, optimizing cash collection, and minimizing bad debt. The role emphasizes a best-in-class customer experience, change management, and partnership skills to ensure stakeholders understand and support policies, processes, and decisions. Integration is a priority, with a mindset of continuously striving for flawless execution on every integration.ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and executing credit risk strategy and solutions, including researching best-in-class automation for credit approval processes.Maintain and improve credit granting and collections processes to optimize cash collection and minimize bad debt expense.Partner with Sales and other stakeholders to deliver on the credit approval cycle time/SLA.Assist in approving payment term requests as required.Discuss with Sales, other stakeholders, and external customers on time for credit requests not approved and provide alternative credit limit recommendations that support revenue while protecting AR assets.Evaluate a customer’s financial position using established monitoring systems and tools, identify material changes, and act to minimize bad debt risk.Assist in Acquisition Integration activities.Collaborate with stakeholders to improve credit risk and approval strategies to support revenue growth.Support other projects/initiatives to deliver best-in-class Credit Risk processes.EducationCollege/University BA, Business or FinanceCPP DesignationCompletion or enrolment in CCP or Accounting Designation program is an assetSkills And ExperienceMinimum 5 years’ B2B credit experience, preferably in a global software services/high-tech environmentDemonstrated success influencing change on Credit Risk understandingStrong customer service mindsetExcellent written and verbal communication and change management skills, especially with Sales and external customersStrong working knowledge of accounting principles with ability to evaluate financial statements to establish Credit Risk parametersStrong organization and time management skills with ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong working knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and Microsoft OfficeSelf-starter with a continuous improvement mindsetStrong team player with collaborative problem-solving approachAbility to foster a culture of learning and resilience in a changing environmentBilingual an assetOpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
