Position Finance Manager – 12 month contract Type Onsite 5 days Industry Professional Services / Consulting Role Overview A highly successful professional services firm is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee their accounting and finance function. You will function as the most senior person in accounting to support the CEO and senior leadership team in managing all finance‑related activities of the company. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of GL maintenance, month‑end/year‑end close, financial statement preparation, and owning budgets and forecasts. You will manage a small team of accounting clerks and provide direction with AR/Billing and AP. You will function as the point of contact for staff in a broad range of areas including purchasing, IT systems, internal and external audits as well as insurance. As part of the senior leadership team, you will guide management in strategic decision making and provide insight on the financial performance of the business. What Makes You a Fit CPA or equivalent 5+ years experience performing full cycle accounting and financial reporting and analysis for a mid‑sized private company. Ability to work cross‑functionally with all levels of the organization and establish credibility. Knowledge of real estate and/or trust accounting is an asset. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. Demonstrate strong leadership in driving improvements and mentoring/coaching a team.
