Position Summary: Ainsworth, is currently seeking a Sheet Metal/Plumbing Estimator, to join our growing team in Sudbury, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, the role will be responsible for estimating and commercial renovations and retrofits by independently and accurately pricing jobs from start to finish. Responsibilities Review prints and project specifications for estimating purposes Understanding of mechanical drawings for estimating and pricingAssemble detailed and accurate quality take-offs and cost estimatesDevelop project material budgeting by gathering costs for the various items needed to complete the projectObtaining equipment and sub contractor pricingPreparing final estimate for reviewVisiting job sites for estimating purposes and reviews of estimates on actual jobsPreparing change orders, following up on them and processing them once acceptedAbility to do several smaller jobs at the same timeQualifications Licensed trades person OR combination of education and work experience will be considered 4+ years of experience in estimatingExcellent organization skills.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and mechanical drawings.Familiar with plumbing and boiler codes.
