About The Role As a Senior Medical Writer within our dedicated Medical Communications team, you will provide senior-level medical and clinical writing support, developing scientific and medical content including outlines, manuscripts, abstracts, scientific posters, reports, and slide presentations focused on specific therapeutic areas. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations, budgets, and timelines. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of medical communications initiatives, including accredited and non-accredited learning programs, across various therapeutic areas. Occasional travel may be required. What You’ll Do Content Development & Scientific Storytelling: Conduct research and literature reviews; interpret and synthesize data to create messaging and narratives; structure and write medical communications documents; adapt writing style for diverse audiences; contribute to learning program design and development. Therapeutic Area Expertise & Application: Understand therapeutic areas, align with product strategy, identify relevant resources, work across multiple areas. Quality Assurance & Accuracy: Ensure work meets internal quality standards; review for scientific accuracy and alignment; incorporate feedback effectively. Efficiency & Time Management: Use tools and resources efficiently; manage multiple projects with deadlines. What You’ll Need Educational Background: Relevant science degree (PhD preferred). Industry Experience: 4+ years as a medical writer in an agency or similar; strong life sciences knowledge; medical/pharmaceutical and/or CME experience. Educational Design: Interest in designing engaging learning programs. Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Collaboration & Influence: Ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and key opinion leaders. Language Proficiency: Excellent English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; strong medical terminology and ability to articulate pharmaceutical processes. Work Ethic & Autonomy: Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
