Retail Sales Supervisor Staples Canada Some of what you will do As a Sales Supervisor at Staples, you will lead a team to provide exceptional customer experiences, drive sales, and maintain operational excellence. Job Description You perform essential leadership duties to ensure smooth operations and uphold store standards. As a keyholder, you act as a leader on duty, supporting programs and training throughout the store. Specifically, you will Customer Engagement: Model and coach, our selling model within the store by engaging customers and motivating associates to do the same. Focus on high-performance, results, and a customer-first mindset. Sales Execution: Demonstrate a high degree of customer engagement and find ways to maximize sales while effectively assisting customers. Execute, communicate, and ensure understanding of flyer and promotional items. Team Leadership: Cultivate a selling culture with associates by learning, adopting, and teaching new trends, products, and services. Partner with store leaders to set and execute sales goals and targets. Operational Excellence: Support operational excellence and store brand standards for all areas of the store. Supervise aspects of health & safety, loss prevention, and policies and procedures. Training and Development: Dedicate time for self-development and enable others to do the same. Conduct training of associates within the store and inspire continuous learning and development. Administrative Duties: As a keyholder, ensure the safe opening and closing of the store, handle daily and weekly tasks associated with timekeeping and payroll, and maintain compliance with health & safety and asset protection standards. Qualifications 3+ years of retail sales experience required; direct experience in technology sales preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role with direct accountability for achieving sales and service targets is preferred. Strong communication skills to inspire both our customers and associates. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
