Currently, we are seeking a Senior Automobile Underwriter to join the Ontario National Branch.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced underwriting professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, thrives in a technically complex environment, and enjoys working collaboratively in a dynamic hybrid team setting.If you're ready to take the next step in your underwriting career and make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from youCome join our team**What You’ll Do:*** Assess and evaluate risks for new and existing business (Fleet, Garage), with a focus on National Fleets* Analyze reports to resolve adequate exposure and loss ratings.* Maintain awareness of market trends, pricing levels and policy form amendments.* Manage and negotiate renewal terms for the retention of business.* Work with brokers to develop new business opportunities* Apply loss control and risk management practices in the underwriting process.* Respond to inquiries from brokers regarding modification to policy files in a timely and efficient manner.* Build and maintain excellent broker relationships and management of assigned broker portfolios.* Provide excellent Customer service.**What You’ll Bring:*** 5–10 years of Commercial Auto underwriting experience (Fleet & Garage)* CIP designation (completed or in progress) preferred* Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative* Comfortable working independently and in a hybrid team environment* Proficient with standard business software; RTM system knowledge is an asset* Able to manage deadlines and perform well under pressure## **What you’ll get:*** Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.* Outstanding Career Development opportunities.* We’ll support your professional development education.* Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year* Employee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusion* Corporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental health* Hybrid flexible work modelPlease note that we may use AI tools to help us through the recruitment process.
