As a Sr Underwriter, Commercial Auto, you will: Review and evaluate large, complex account applications to determine risk, coverage, and premiums. Accept or reject applications based on policies, procedures, standards, and authority levels. Promote, underwrite, and quote new business, renewals, and endorsements in line with company policies and objectives. Negotiate coverage and rates; participate in underwriting audits. Complete necessary documentation for your business. Develop and maintain positive relationships with brokers. Support team goals, including profitability and premium targets. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced staff. How you will succeed: Deliver exceptional client experiences through positive relationships and accountability. Align your actions with the company’s purpose, vision, and values, even under challenge. Support and guide others through change; explore new opportunities and innovations. Value collaborative dialogue, embracing diverse perspectives for creative solutions. To join our team: 5-7 years of Commercial Auto Underwriting experience, including underwriting new business. Experience with auto and transportation, focusing on medium to large accounts. Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset. Proven ability to build lasting relationships with broker partners. What you need to know: Detail-oriented work requiring high concentration over extended periods.
