We work exclusively with some of the most reputed and admired clients across various sectors and geographies.Hello,Hope you are doing good.Position : Business Analyst with Insurance Background Location : Waterloo, Ontario Duration : ContractPrincipal ResponsibilitiesEngaging with existing and prospective users to understand and document their information needs predicated on an understanding of both business processes and the business decisions that users need to makeProvide BA support to BI projects to enable them to meet their deadlinesWorking with IT colleagues to understand and document available data sources and their interrelationCollaborating with other team members to design solutionsCollaborating with other team members to develop strong reconciliation and control processesWorking with quality assurance to ensure that business requirements are metResponsible for partnering with business and user group representatives to understand business decisions and the related reporting and analysis needsRequirements gathering, user interviews, running workshops, prototypingDocument requirements in a format that is intelligible to both business partners and IT colleaguesAnalyse and document available data sources and data flows to standards and in a consistent mannerCollaborate with colleagues in designing solutions that meet the established business needsExperience & QualificationsExperience of fulfilling a BA role in the full life-cycle of a DW/BI projectExperience of working as a BI BA within the London MarketA thoroughgoing knowledge of the commercial Insurance and reinsurance industryDegree educatedDemonstrable understanding of the collateral factors that lead to success in DW/BI projects, including user engagement, prototyping, MDM, data quality and educational approachExperience of working collaboratively in an agile mannerTechnical SkillsWorking knowledge of SQL, data analysis, reporting and modelling toolsWorking knowledge of SQL Server and the associated Microsoft BI stack, including MDS and DQS desirableAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
