Real Estate Project Manager

Real Estate Project Manager – Ottawa Innovation Campus – Nokia We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Project Manager to lead all aspects of the construction of our new Ottawa Innovation Campus. Responsibilities Coordinate project design, budget, and schedule with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and local authorities. Develop and maintain detailed construction budgets, track variances, and recommend corrective actions. Source, select, and manage construction contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. Ensure compliance with Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal building codes, health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and zoning laws. Manage project controls, tracking systems, and reporting mechanisms to monitor milestones and progress. Oversee LEED certification processes and integrate sustainable construction practices and technologies. Provide regular, detailed project updates to executive leadership, including progress reports, cost analyses, and risk assessments. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and archival records for future reference and compliance audits. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field. Minimum 15 years of construction experience with at least 10 years of project management, including large‑scale commercial or corporate campus developments in Canada. Direct experience with real estate development projects, construction management, and design management. PMP, Prince2 certification, or master’s degree considered a plus. Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills with the ability to manage complex relationships. Knowledge of Canadian building codes, zoning regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Proficiency in construction project management software and tools such as BIM.
