Brighton, Canada Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are seeking to recruit knowledgeable, creative and dynamic individuals to join the well-established Brighton CAMHS Assertive Outreach Team (CAOT). We have two vacancies, ideally one full-time post and one part-time post but will consider two part-time posts. This post would also be available as a secondment opportunity. We are a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team, offering flexible, creative and accessible support to young people who are unable to access mainstream mental health services and would benefit from an outreach approach. CAOT works closely with both CAMHS and Adult Mental Health Services, as we support young people aged 14-25. Our work includes assessing young people's mental health, risk management and care planning, and working with families and the wider systems around young people. We aim to enable young people to access mental health support who would not otherwise be able to, either as a result of their mental health needs or due to other social or environmental factors. Young people referred to CAOT have often experienced services as unhelpful or inaccessible and may be reluctant to attend a clinic or access formal mental health support, despite having a mental health need. We offer bespoke support and interventions and we aim to 'meet young people where they are' both physically and emotionally. Main duties of the job As a Mental Health Practitioner in our team you will provide assessment and bespoke interventions for children and young people referred into our service. Flexibility, creativity and passion are highly valued within our small MDT team and we work closely with one another to develop care plans and interventions to meet a wide range of needs. Contributing to the management of a team caseload of clients with complex needs, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. We follow a multi-disciplinary approach and as such you will provide specialist assessment and intervention utilising a range of approaches. This post offers the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 6 Nurses & Practitioners, (pro rata and subject to terms and conditions; please see attached Protocol Document for full details).
