Student Services Representative, Continuing Education and Conservatory Mount Royal University Overview The Continuing Education and Conservatory Student Services unit supports learners. As a frontline service area, the role requires problem‑solving, a strong understanding of policies and procedures, and in‑depth knowledge of Continuing Education and Conservatory courses. Responsibilities include processing registrations, cashier balancing, issuing transcripts, resolving data integrity issues, auditing for graduation, and maintaining student records. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential. Responsibilities Assist students in registering for programs/courses using internal processes. Process registration changes such as withdrawals. Reconcile and balance in‑person and online transactions daily. Handle account payable tasks for sponsorship invoices and family installment plans. Collaborate with Senior Lead, Student Services to correct registration and account errors. Retrieve information efficiently from both integrated student information management systems. Respond to student inquiries via email, phone, and in person with accurate information and a pleasant disposition. Apply policies fairly and equitably to all clients. Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including POPA. Review academic records of Continuing Education and Conservatory students applying for graduation to determine eligibility for certificates. Ensure accuracy of academic records by reporting and resolving data issues. Enter admission applications into student information systems and collect documentation. Issue official documents and letters such as transcripts. Assist with documentation and training for the area. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree + 1–2 years customer service experience or equivalent. Knowledge of customer service principles and strategies. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize large volumes of work. Analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Precise attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable using data and computer information systems; experience with Banner Student and Extended Education – Lifelong Learning (Destiny One) considered an asset. Team player and self‑directed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Previous post‑secondary environment experience considered an asset. Compensation $52,816.40 – $66,848.60 per annum.
