Role Overview Role Type: Internship/Co‑opWork Term: Summer/Term 3Work Location: Calgary, Alberta, CanadaHours: 37.5 per weekPay: $100,000 – $100,000 CAD (base pay may vary based on skills, experience, location and business needs) Bridging the Gap Scholarship Program TD Securities has created the Bridging the Gap Scholarship Program to recognize outstanding Canadian undergraduate students who excel academically and demonstrate extra‑curricular and community service engagement. Benefits for Successful Applicants A 4‑month paid internship position with TD Securities in Investment Banking A TD Securities business mentor available throughout the internship A monetary scholarship of C$10,000 to be applied toward tuition and school‑related expenses for the 2027/2028 school year, awarded upon completion of the internship Candidate Eligibility Identify as one or more of the following: Indigenous – First Nation, Inuit or Métis; 2SLGBTQ+; Black; a woman; a person with a disability; visible minority. Attend an accredited Canadian university (Approved School) on a full‑time basis. Be enrolled in a 4‑ or 5‑year undergraduate program at an Approved School and graduating in December 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028. Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or legally eligible to work in Canada. Selected candidates must be able to attend the work term in person. Relocation expenses are not covered. Application Requirements Answer the following essay question after submitting your initial application (maximum 400 words): describe a time you demonstrated resilience, adaptability, or leadership and how it illustrates the qualities you would bring to TD Securities culture and a role in Capital Markets. Provide a copy of your most recent unofficial university transcripts. Provide a copy of your current resume and cover letter, including projected graduation date. Please upload cover letter, resume and transcript as one document. Responsibilities Assigned to the Calgary coverage group to gain experience in mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions across a range of industries. Work under the overall direction of a senior officer, supporting idea generation, client advice and transaction execution. Research and analyze clients’ financials, industry and market data, and deal opportunities. Develop valuation models for private, public and merged entities. Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities and value companies. Assist with client negotiations, documentation, and preparation of external proposals and internal underwriting memos. Prepare client presentations based on analysis and valuation. Qualifications Graduating December 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028 with an undergraduate degree. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and solid foundation in finance or mathematics. Effective team player. Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, philanthropy).
