About the Role Manager, Integrated Construction Technology (BIM) – Montreal Office. In this role, you will lead the integration of technology into our construction processes, ensuring high-quality virtual models and digital workflows across projects. Responsibilities Ensures that virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations are built and reviewed. Manages integrated construction resource allocation at the district level and leads department process improvement activities. Liaises with estimating to establish and manage staffing resources and budgets for new pursuits and projects. Participates in project interviews and proposal writing in respect to VDC and other integrated technologies. Communicates best practices across projects and districts and facilitates sharing. Leads the setup, management, and best practices of digital workflows. Oversees coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables across multiple projects. Liaises between design teams and construction teams. During the pursuit stage, works with the project team to review and recommend scopes that VDC tools and processes can be incorporated into the project and allocates VDC resources accordingly. Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements. Participates in the pursuit and proposal of a project including the narrative and presentation material development and delivery. Drafts VDC and ICT contract language and/or ensures it is incorporated into the design or subcontract agreement; develops BIM execution plan. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in AEC, civil, architecture, or related discipline. Minimum of 8 years construction-related experience, including 5–6 years of virtual Design and Construction experience. Expert understanding of construction sequences. Advanced understanding of and proven experience implementing construction technology. Ability to develop model management procedures. Advanced knowledge of building construction process and components at each stage. Advanced ability to oversee and ensure the quality of virtual construction models from design and trade partners. Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows. Advanced ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings/specifications and translate into a complete 3D/4D BIM. Advanced understanding and training in 3D modeling software. Experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
