Manager Integrated Const Tech

Responsibilities Ensures that virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations are built and reviewed. Manages integrated construction resource allocation at the district level and leads department process improvement activities. Liaises with estimating to establish and manage staffing resources and budgets for new pursuits and projects. Participates in project interviews and proposal writing in respect to virtual design construction VDC and other integrated technologies. Communicates best practices across projects and districts and facilitates sharing. Leads the setup, management, and best practices of digital workflows. Oversees the coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables across multiple projects. Liaises between design teams and construction teams. During the pursuit stage, works with the project team to review and recommend scopes that VDC tools and processes can be incorporated into the project and allocates VDC resources accordingly. Participates in scoping design deliverables and trade detailing requirements. Participates in the pursuit and proposal of a project including the narrative and presentation material development and delivery. Drafts VDC and ICT contract language and/or ensures it is incorporated into the design or subcontract agreement. Develops BIM (Building Information Model) execution plan Qualifications Bachelors' degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural). Minimum of 8 years of construction-related industry experience including 5 to 6 years of virtual Design and Construction related experience. Expert understanding of construction sequences. Advanced understanding of and proven experience implementing construction technology. Ability to develop model management procedures. Advanced knowledge of the building construction process and the various building components involved at each stage of construction. Advanced ability to oversee and ensure the quality of virtual construction models from design and trade partners. Understanding of trade detailing and design workflows. Advanced ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4DBuilding Information Model. Advanced understanding and training in 3D modeling software. Experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
