Graduate Sustainability Consultant- 2026Mott MacDonald is seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join our growing Climate Change & Sustainability (CC&S) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects address the global challenges of climate change and sustainability.You’llwork alongside an experienced and multidisciplinary team, supporting the integration of sustainability principles into the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects across sectors such as transportation, buildings, and energy. This role offers hands‑on experience, mentorship, and the chance to grow your career in a purpose‑driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project teams in delivering services such as:Greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and carbon footprint assessmentsClimate risk and resilience assessmentsSustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, Envision, CaGBCZero Carbon Building Standard)Assist in the application of sustainability frameworks and tools across infrastructure projectsConduct research, data analysis, and contribute to technical reports and presentationsParticipate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and team meetingsCollaborate with colleagues across disciplines and regions to deliver high‑quality outcomesContribute to proposal development and business development activities as appropriateWe’re looking for candidates who demonstrate:A Bachelor’s degree (or in the final year of study) in engineering, environmental sciences, sustainability, or a related fieldA strong interest in climate change, sustainability, and infrastructure developmentFamiliarity with sustainability frameworks such as LEED, Envision, or Net Zero principles (coursework or project experience is a plus)Strong analytical, research, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiativeEnthusiasm for learning and contributing to impactful workThis role is ideal for someone looking to launch their career in sustainability consulting and make a tangible difference through infrastructure.
