Job DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Technician's main function will be to verify, compile and process invoices and issue payments for the area under his/her responsibility. In addition, the Accounts Payable Technician will contribute to the payables automation project by participating in the integration of data recognition technology.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project meetings;
- Identify invoice data for various vendor formats.
- Work closely with the project manager;
- Validate, enter and follow up on payments and account reconciliations;
- Perform reconciliation of supplier account statements;
- Ensure the application of internal controls;
- Manage accounts payable with rigor and diligence;
- Participate in various internal audits;
- Ensure the follow-up of down payments and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of OCR technology or having participated in the automation of payable process;
- Attestation of college studies or DVS in Accounting;
- Five (5) years experience in a similar position;
- Autonomy, initiative and attention to detail;
- Good ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment;
- Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written;
- Rigorous and diligent management of duties;
- Respect of deadlines, management of priorities;
- Knowledge of the SAP system, ESKER an asset;
- Must be able to multitask and have an interest in working in a team.
