Job Summary: As a member of the Radar System Engineering Team; the Radar Engineering Student will be involved in new and ongoing development and software Support. You will have a diverse set of responsibilities which can include develop/enhance software, data analysis, system and software testing. In this work term, April to August 2026, the primary task for the student will be able to work individually and within a modified Agile Team on developing and refactoring our surveillance maintenance and toolchain software.**Job Description****Why Us:*** Get real experience in programing, and system engineering.* Learn to use code change management, requirements management, code review and testing tools.* Learn to the different aspects of working in a Agile Framework.* Get hands on experience with system deployment and testing.**Responsibilities*** Software development (C/C++/Python/JavaScript) and testing.* System Hardware installation, setup and testing.* Create test plans, procedures and scripts.* Support life cycle support activities of current systems and lab environments.**Desired Skills*** Good understanding of programming.* Good understanding of operating systems.* Good understanding of Networking.* Good oral and written communications in English.* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.**Working Conditions:*** This is a 5 days a week onsite role at the Technical Services Centre, 280 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON* public transportation access* Free parking* Free gym access* You are required to be a registered full time student who is returning to full time studies in the fall 2026.NAV CANADA is committed to building a skilled, diverse workforce reflective of Canadian society.
