OPERATIONS MANAGER JOB SUMMARY The Operations Manager is responsible for partnering with the plant leadership team to ensure that all operations‑related policies and processes are properly executed and adhered to at their facility and be for analyze and improve operational to facilitate productivity, efficiency, safety and quality. The Operations Manager should be dedicated to creating a safe environment where team members understand and observe Android’s values. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee all operational launch activities Cultivate culture, encourage, quality, safety, and growth opportunities Coordinate and design of plant production area Lead by example: on the floor, coaching, mentoring Ensure the teams have the tools to perform their jobs Oversight of manufacturing assembly operation Achieving Daily production requirement sequencing, delivery, and quality for the entire plant, Directs, guides & motivates to reach plant goals and objectives Lead and develop shift managers Build and manage relationships Oversight of team member on the Job Training Manage overtime within budget Support and lead projects Collaborate with other departments Adhere to Quality philosophies and policies Fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, ensuring team member retention Coordinate activities and communication opportunities to build and maintain team member morale Maintain communication flow regarding pertinent information such as company announcements and policy changes Communicate across all departments to ensure targets are on schedule Ensure compliance to the development plans, for example training plans and performance reviews Assess the team members’ strengths and weaknesses, understand the skills gaps, and recommend learning and growth opportunities Create and facilitate trainings and materials, coach and collaborate with other content creators Audits/CAS Drive action to improve KPI/metrics Actively participate in Kata, CAS, CI initiatives and daily 5S activities Actively pursue growth opportunities Actively pursue line balancing to improve work flow OEE/FTTQ Drive safety culture Participate in incident investigations and ensure proper incident/ injury reporting Hold others accountable to following safety systems Promote Safety as a personal value Comply with all national, local, and Company policies and regulations Encourage preventative behaviors and manage risk avoidance through training, communication, and other measures Adhere to process audits, system performance/compliance Update and track KPI’s, implementing countermeasures as required Assist with audit processes to identify gaps in policies and procedures and implement corrective actions for any nonconformities Prepare and ensure consistency of information and reports (including government required) When applicable, attend unemployment hearings/labor hearings, etc. Ensure proper records and documentation Budget management and time and attendance All other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree minimum 8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment TRAVEL Travel Required: minimum KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Demonstrate strong leadership skills to diagnose problems and make decisions Demonstrated use of data‑based decision making and problem solving (PDCA, Pareto Charts, 8Ds, 5 Why, Budget, Forecast, Key Performance Indicators) Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work activities and to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Must be able to function well in a team environment Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills Ability to build positive relationships Understanding of operations principles Strong negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Computer literacy to include Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with operation technological tools Avancez advocates full equal employment opportunity for all people without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital or family status, or status as covered veterans in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws.
