Training Lead Role (Learning Design Lead) Raise is currently hiring a Training Lead Role (Learning Design Lead) on behalf of our client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada. The training lead will operate as a Change Management Professional, responsible for advising on and executing key training and learning activities within high-risk or high-impact BC Hydro projects. Compensation Pay Rate: $86.52/hour (T4 classification; INC classification considered where applicable). Location & Contract Location: Vancouver, British Columbia Contract Length: 1 Year Description The Training Lead (operating as a Change Management Professional) in this role will be responsible for advising on and executing key training and learning activities within high-risk or high-impact BC Hydro projects. This role is crucial for enabling the successful and safe adoption of complex organizational and technical changes, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills and deep expertise in instructional design, development, and delivery within large, complex project environments. Responsibilities Strategy & Alignment: Work with the Change Lead and Communications Lead to ensure that strategies and plans are aligned. Resource Management: Manage training resources as required (people, budgets, materials, etc.). Needs Assessment & Curriculum: Develop and perform formal training needs assessment and curriculum (competency profiles, training programs, modules, materials, etc.). Material Design & Development: Design and develop training materials such as lesson plans, instructor & participant guides, exercise guides, job aids. Apply organization guidelines, standards, and templates in creating training materials. Work with and/or lead other contributors and review their deliverables to ensure training materials include the key business change. Deployment, Delivery, and Evaluation Develop the approach to training deployment and delivery. Delivery & Support: Lead and support training delivery (e.g., deliver content or enable others to deliver). Provide coaching and mentoring to trainers and students as needed. Evaluation & Metrics: Develop metrics and tools to measure and evaluate effectiveness of training materials and delivery, including lessons learned. Plan and manage implementation of evaluation tools and corrective measures. Sustainment: Develop a sustainment plan and conduct handover activities to business operations. Qualifications 3 to 5 years experience designing, developing, and delivering training within large and/or complex project environments. 3 to 5 years experience working with and leading teams. Instructional design experience with Articulate 360. Training design, development, and delivery: learning materials (learning roadmaps, presentations, online courses, guides and materials, job aids, etc.). Develop metrics and tools to measure and evaluate effectiveness of training materials and delivery including lessons learned. Nice to have: Change management or communications experience. Develop and perform formal training needs assessments. Lead and support training delivery in person or online. Apply organizational guidelines, standards, and templates in creating training materials. Develop sustainment plan and conduct handover activities to business operations. Experience with delivering compliance-related material, especially related to energy industry, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), IT, or cybersecurity. Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Education: Bachelor's degree in Change Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related discipline. PROSCI Certification or CCMP Designation, an asset. Advanced English skills for professional environment (written and spoken). Additional Information Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 laptop for the duration of the assignment.
