About the Company
Forge Recruitment is pleased to partner with our client, a national multi-service law firm in their search for an Immigration Law Clerk, Business and Corporate Immigration, to join their esteemed Labour and Employment Practice Group. This role is located in the heart of downtown Toronto and offers a hybrid work schedule.

About the Role
Supporting a busy Partner, the successful Immigration Law Clerk, Business and Corporate Immigration will assist in all aspects of business immigration engagements and contribute to delivering solutions and ideas for a diverse client base, including:
  • Liaising with and processing clients' application, including, collecting documents, organizing documents, completing immigration forms, and preparing documents.
  • Timely management of files from beginning to end.
  • Detailed analysis of client documents.
  • Organization and maintenance of on-going file list.
  • Conducting research, as required, and staying current with Canadian immigration programs.
  • Obtaining information from immigration authorities, providing status reports, and maintaining timely communication with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Other tasks as regularly assigned.

What You Bring
As the ideal incumbent, you possess:
  • 3+ years' of experience as a business immigration law clerk, including proficiency with Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and LMIA exemptions processes.
  • Successful completion of ILCO Corporate Law Clerk course, or a law clerk certificate/diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Technical proficiency with the entire MS Office Suite and various legal software.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian business immigration program.
  • Excellent initiative, demonstrating good judgment, discretion and a keen attention to detail.
