Assistant Practitioner – Major Trauma Therapy Services B4 Join to apply for the Assistant Practitioner – Major Trauma Therapy Services B4 role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B4 Assistant Practitioner in the Major Trauma Hyperacute Service at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). The Scottish Trauma Network provides all aspects of trauma care from the point of injury to rehabilitation. You will be joining a multidisciplinary team established in 2023, including Clinical/Neuro Psychologists, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Support Workers.
The Hyper Acute Major Trauma team works on an in-reach basis, providing specialist assessment and treatment of complex trauma patients. Further AHP rehabilitation posts have been created to ensure equity of service provision for all trauma patients irrespective of ward location.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team providing ongoing screening, assessment and treatment across physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and dietetics. Contribute to service improvement and evaluation.
Qualifications
Background in rehabilitation; preferably experience as a support worker within one of the key disciplines in the team. Shift Pattern Five out of seven days a week, 08:30 – 16:30. Effective 1 April 2026, full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
