This holistic approach to hazardous materials management helps reduce the risk of accidents and environmental harm.The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:The Production Supervisor has the primary responsibility of leading by example. Supervisor must supervise all manufacturing activities including scheduling jobs in production, supervising production workers in all department, assuring a safe and production workplace.A supervisor is an individual with understanding on what makes team members tick and what motivates them to grow and excel. Work with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the overall performance and drive of the business to success.In this role, you will report directly to the Operations Manager, setting the stage for your career to soar This role is your gateway to opportunities for advancement, with the potential to grow within the organization in 3-5 years as you make meaningful contributions to our organizational goals.About the Team:Our Operations team is dedicated to driving efficiency and excellence across all aspects of our business. Their expertise is key to maintaining our competitive edge and supporting the growth and success of our company.What You’ll Do at Justrite:Lead safety culture at the facility, work closely with EHS team to make sure activities remain compliantDaily work order and job assignments to each direct labor staff memberHelps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.Implement and drive 5S methodology in each work cell.Ability to communicate with specific directions and procedures to follow and carrying out assigned tasks.Monitor team members on site during production activities to ensure compliance with the standards of operations, ethic and safety procedures.Responsible for providing leadership for the team involved and holding team members accountable.Must be skilled and experienced in the department to guide the team to ensure production efficiency and quality. Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow.Recognize the contributions of every team member and encourages them to work together in harmony, sharing ideas and maintaining good relationships in the execution of production tasks.Ensure completed product meets quality standards before moving to the next area.Manage the production schedule and coordinating the processing of orders as efficiently as possible to get the work processed through the facility.Ensure operational quality and cost objectives while meeting on-time delivery schedule.Daily labor balancing and ensure labor time performance measures are being accurately tracked and achieved.Implement lean manufacturing techniques and assist in efficient work cell creation and adherence.Inventory and material management support, work directly with purchasing and receiving to ensure materials are advanced planned for jobs.Ensures all workers have proper safety gear and clothing before performing work.Interview and assist with selecting new hires.Ability to fill in on a job when employee is absence.On shop floor supervising 80% of the time.Your Skills and Expertise:To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:5+ years manufacturing experience with a minimum 3 years supervisory/management role.Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing and 5S methodologyAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Have a great attitude and willing to grow with the companyAbility to exhibit leadership skills in job knowledge, skills and attendanceDiligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members at all timesExcellent coaching and communication skillsDemonstrated results meeting performance metricsDemonstrated ability to effectively set goals, lead and motivate others.Organized with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting.Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as neededMust be able to work overtime as neededAbility to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervisionComputer knowledge including Microsoft suiteOur benefits package at Justrite Safety Group is designed to be the best in the industry, offering everything you need to support your career and personal well-being.
